I know that situation… I mean I am kind of a big guy so it may be not that surprising that I eat a lot. However you wouldn’t expect my girlfriend to eat as much as she does, haha.
Looking good Mark.
Definitely put on som musles on the frame.
Miss the triceps pose though
And great workout too. You move som poundages these days
finish up those chips, rookie
Woke at 217.8 lbs, but looking marginally better than yesterday. WTF? Yesterday was great. It was basically, sleep in, train, lunch, nap, bedtime.
@Koestrizer 15 July for me. Then end of October, 28th I think. That’ll be it for 2018, and nothing till March or April next year. I was happy with front squats, especially for wearing flats. First rep is weird going down just to figure out my groove and then it’s fine (like with narrow stance squats).
@mortdk oddly enough less poundage than I used to except I swear I’m bigger and stronger now. Weird how that works out
@Yogi1 sorry, bailed.
Dream life
solid “finished food porn” photo !
Also, I wonder if the waiter would be surprised in the US. I seriously doubt it. HEH.
I often order a regular meal and a childrens meal for myself. I bring one of my kids with me though, so it doesnt look weird.
hah.
I hadn’t thought of that. Portions are definitely getting bigger here.
I don’t think portions are getting bigger over here in W.A. Everytime i go somewhere to eat, the amount of food i receive for what i paid is a bloody rip off.
I hope W.A catches up with the “more food” trend. (possibly not so good for the already increasing number of chubba chops) but for us gym dudes yeah.
I reckon there should be a new food chain aimed at people who lift/ serious about whatever training where you get massive servings i’d live there.
Today’s training
Kb halos, pull-ups (7) and some hand release push-ups
Bench press
5xbar
3xplate
3x2x170 lbs
3x170 lbs
5x170 lbs
Those five sets took around 55 seconds, and honestly weren’t hard in any way. Setup felt great.

Bench to a 2-board
3x6x170 lbs - felt like an empty bar. I’m guessing that’s good?
Dips
4x10 - trend of everything feeling easy continues, although these actually took a degree of effort
DB tricep extensions
12x30 lbs - just a tad too heavy for 12
2x12x25 lbs - first set fatigue made this weight spot on
Plate raises
50 total reps with 33 lbs - 30, 20
Inverted rows
3x10 - again absurdly easy until set three, which took effort
All up, including stretching, 55 minutes
hahaha Yeah I bet.
and then the kid just has to sit there crying while you eat his meal?
You monster
Duke, you would love Tennessee and Alabama. HUGE portions, small price (especially the rural parts). Very good gains.
Also @MarkKO your face in the first pic tells everything we need to know. I didn’t even have to look at the second pic to know you savored every bite haha
Woke at 216.7 lbs, looking a tad puffier than yesterday but still WTF because dinner was not small yesterday and I went over budget.
No prizes for guessing which is my plate.
they both are yours, i quess
Not quite. Although I’m having the leftovers of Mrs KO’s steak for lunch, along with more steak.
Looks like this is where im going on my next holiday.
Woke at 215.8 lbs, looking noticeably tighter. Apparently a day at 2900 cal does that. I might go to 3000 cal/day soon if that seems necessary.
Last night was my mental exhaustion tipping point (aka I was extra asshole-y) and I finally had a decent sleep - these things go hand in hand. As a result, I felt vaguely OK this morning, but I was fading by the time I got to the gym.
Today’s training
45 back raises, GHR sit-ups and box jumps - actually worked on jumping up rather onto the box. Different feel.
DL, stiff bar - using my DL slippers, takes a little getting used to
3xplate
3x2 plates
2x3 plates
1x368 lbs, belt on and hook - left thumb still too tender for hook so mixed grip today
4x2x423 lbs - trend was first rep felt great (well, braced) but second felt off. Mixed grip is shithouse, although I’m taking it as a positive that I felt each side of my lats depending which hand was under.
11x423 lbs - well fuck me dead. Felt amazing. Actually felt like I was jumping into each pull through my heels, tight in each rep. Lats absolutely fried. 10 weeks ago I got 11x390 lbs

Rack pulls on pin one (notes said bar to be four to five inches above feet)
2x4x368 lbs - first time I’ve ever felt a difference between rack and regular pulls, because now I actually have leg drive and rack pulls eliminate that (they do, right @FlatsFarmer?)
DB goblet squats
2x15x100 lbs
DB rows
3x10x100 lbs - strict, focused on a good stretch
Done in an hour and 10 minutes
