Marcel's Training Log

Firstly, before i start off, i would like to do some self-introduction. I’m from Singapore and have been into the Iron Game for a year. I started off with starting strength 5x5 and managed to reap good gains. After which i began to venture into different programmes or even customized my own programme.

Of course due to my lack in experience, the gains weren’t that fantastic except for my back, due to the high intensity of deadlifts and pull-ups.

I finally started on CT’s HP-MASS programme for 6 weeks which lasted from 5 sep 2011 to 16 oct 2011. I also ordered Anaconda as my supplement. For the first cycle, my stats were:
Bench Press: 67.5kg x 3
Incline Bench Press: 60kg x 3
Military Press: 40kg x 3
Squats: 75kg x 3
Deadlift: 110kg x 3

After i finished the cycle, i was so impressed with the results and i retested for the lifts. I also ordered finibars and i must say it really made me feel better in the gym, and i enjoy a higher performance level. Below are my new PR for cycle 2 (not MTW):
Bench Press: 80kg x 3
Incline Bench Press: 75kg x 3
Military Press: 45kg x 3
Squats: 100kg x 3
Deadlift: 120kg x 3

So now im starting on week 2 of my second cycle of HP-MASS. I will be reporting in when i hit the gym! Stay tune and i look forward to a great time here in T-Nation!

31 October 2011 - Monday
Today was day 1 of week 2 of HP-Mass. Spent quite a long time in gym today because it was very crowded, and had to share with a few people at 1 go.

Comments:
Today didn’t feel as great because i had quite some time to rest between sets as i had to share with other people. I felt like i had to reactivate the nervous system a few times because of some period of long rest. However, i still felt great during the movements. Focused on explosive action in the concentric phases of the movements, and really felt the muscles being involved.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s lower body pressing!
