Man Purse

My life has become too complicated and my pockets just aren’t cutting it with all the crap I now carry. I’ve decided I’m going to have to resort to some kind of man-purse. Since I don’t want to put up with teenagers calling me “Ma’am” or anything like that, I’ve decided to turn to the Nation for recommendations for what might actually be cool and not geeky.

So, what do you think, guys? Can anyone point me in the direction of some kind of carrying bag that looks good and is practical or even downright bitchin?

Use a backpack?

I have a nice North Face one that goes pretty much everywhere with me.

I’m pretty sure its a Borealis.

Maybe try the “quarter ton trucker” bag from ironmind?

I guess my question would be what exactly are all the things you are carrying that you need anything more than your pockets? I say keep it simple. Keys, cash, bank cared, cell phone. Once you start carrying a purse (and lets face that’s what it will be, no matter how rugged the manufacturer tries to makes it look) you may as well just get you some orange crocs and capri pants and celebrate your new lifestyle.

Ha. I was lamenting the absence of a manly bag just yesterday. I too dislike having to carry everything I need in my pockets.

A backpack is just too big for me.

I was looking around on the net and I found this one; TOM BIHN - Travel Bags - Laptop Bags - Backpacks - Totes

If not for the price tag, I would buy it. Check out the inside, it’s well designed with lots of useful compartments. II may just pull the trigger on it.

Countycomm has all kinds of crazy gear.

Go old school and get a briefcase, without a shoulder strap.

I almost started to carry a over the shoulder type bag years ago, but couldn;t do it…too cumbersome. Instead, I put my pockets on a diet. Ditched the wallet and anything non necessary.

Now I just carry a wad of cash, folded over 1 credit card, licence, 1 bank card, health ins card. Took off all the silly key chain attachments from the ring of the key chain, and I’ve got a slim cell phone.

My pants have never been happier.

I miss those days. There was a time all I carried was my license and cash. Hid the key to the car under the seat and the key to the house in a nifty little nook in the side patio. Now that I have a family it’s much more difficult. Gotta have water, camera, change of baby clothes, etc, etc, etc. Like I said, life has gotten complicated.

Sling backpacks. I got one, i juse it mainly for gym purposes. It’s big enough for all your things, and small enough to not be a hassle.

I usually carry one of these guys if I have extra shit to lug around.

Small and light, and durable(ish)

My cooler that I carry my food / Metabolic Drive shakes, etc. in has pockets, and it has now become my man purse. It has a bunch of junk in it, but also a .357, so I feel very secure about it.

I also wanted to add that I have one of these

I LOVE this bag, it holds all my books, school gear, my laptop and charger, even my lunch and a half gallon jug of water! A downside is that I tend to load it up too much, and it can get heavy. There is a shoyulder strap that comes with it that you can attach though.

They are sold out, but you might be able to one on Ebay of something.

Fuck bags.
Wear cargo pants with a lot o’ pockets.

Sackpacks are the way to go.

Thanks Ahzaz, this is very promising. It doesn’t look like a purse, it’s sporty, the right size and a reasonable price.

Funny thing is, I clicked on the link to look at it the way you see it and now the price seems to have dropped from $130 to $90. I may have to keep clicking to see how low it will go.

definitely go with a backpack…doesnt matter who you are…even younger business guys who dont wana carry a suitcase do it.
