Making My Own 'Weight Gainer'


So I was thinking about making my own weight gainer type shakes, mixing some slow digesting carb powder, some protein powder and some oil.
Just wondering what's a good healthy oil that I could use for it?
And what's a cheap slow digesting carb? I read palatinose is fast digesting?

Raw Oats, Cottage Cheese, Coconut Milk (not the diluted kind). That is as cheap as it gets.


3 cups of milk
1 cup of cottage cheese
1/2 cup of natty peanutbutter
1/2-1 cup raw oats
1 green apple
2-3 scoops of vanilla protein.
cinnamon to taste.



Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

In all serious, great suggestion.


To make it more complicated... almond butter/olive oil if you need more mono-unsat'd fat, coconut for more sat'd. Decent quality baking chocolate and cinnamon give it a good flavor and some nutritional value (antioxidants). Sweeteners can be up to you, I just leave them out.
