A guy who starts two identical threads in the same month criticizing people in a sport that he doesn't even compete in for the sole purpose of starting shit is a troll.

The best part about all of this? In the video you posted, his depth is nothing to wet your pants over. I guess that makes him a high squatting pussy. Needs to learn to edit out the 4 minutes of useless fucking around and boring "inspirational" speech at the end of the video too.

Well- shit- that is pretty cool.


Here he is squating 240kg/529lbs for a single.

I'd call that pretty strong. Maybe I went overboard with that "brutally strong" comment (and ended up sounding like a nuthugger). But the guy can squat about 150 more pounds than I can, so it looks pretty impressive from where I'm standing - I guess it's all just relative.


Actually- when I first clicked on the video, I got bored with the long intro and just took in the 396 lbs part- I thought it was 396 for a single. But, when I looked at that window again, I saw he was actually squatting it for 20 FUCKING REPS! The 529 is cool- but not quite mindblowing. But for me, 20 reps of anythign but token weight is insane. I remember taking a rare notion of doing 405 raw till failure a while back and I thought I was going to rocket-churl Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage and Myoplex across the gym by the time I came up on the 11th rep- I really didnt' have much more in me anyhow. Afterwards, my back was too locked up go anywhere for about an hour.


Na, man. I'm not arguing with you. 20 reps of anything more than token weight is insane.


uh oh. didn't know how this thread came to life. I thought I only posted one thread about taking up golf if you can't squat deep. Anyway.. I am happy to see you busy discussing my squats. Regarding strength.. it's all relative, and unless you're the strongest man in the world, there's always going to be someone stronger than you. Most people posting on forums don't talk the talk and walk the walk. Those who do, know to appreciate hard work when they see it.
