For the longest time I’ve had in my head that the amount of time bulking/cutting should equal your between phase when you should be maintaining. It was just one of those things I “knew worked”.
I tried finding some concrete information online yesterday to support this (for my own well-being) and couldn’t find anything.
Does anyone else out there know differently or know where I can find some of this supporting evidence?
There is no evidence of any advantage to “maintaining” (deloading, recomping, creating a set point, or however you mean) for a duration that is equal to that of your bulking/cutting phases. This would create ridiculous guidelines as it is completely arbitrary.
