I’d say it is 97% accurate. The only part I disagreed with is the hospital section. While the hospitals do “close,” there is an emergency room that I have personally used well after closing times at two different hospitals, without any wait or issues getting treated.
But yeah, the rest of the article is a pretty damned accurate distillation of all of the things I’d like to explain and misconceptions I’d like to clear up to people who are interested in Japan but have never been here. The part about a foreigner never fitting in is particularly true, but it can be used to great advantage if you are of white european ancestry.
