Magnesium Supplement

I know that magnesium can be stock piled in the body. I also know that doing heavy weight training depletes a lot of it. Ive read that you shouldnt take magnesium supplements for long periods of time, but what if you’re constantly training hard?

Question: is it safe to take a magnesium supplement year round? or atleast 4 times a week (training days)

Considering most people don’t get enough magnesium I wouldn’t stress about supplementing daily. A good multi- is a good route to go.

You need at least as much calcium as magnesium, but not more than twice as much. 400 mg mag, 800 mg cal is a good reference point; adjust based on results.
