Lowering Bradycardia

My friend, who is a basketball player, wants to lower his resting heart rate and he told me that he will be combining running, jogging and sprinting in his morning runs to achieve this.

I told him that sprints are all he needs. I’m not quite sure now on what he should do. Should he do strength training instead? Help me out guys.

Overall cardiovascular fitness determines your resting heart rate.

Bradycardia is an abnormally low heartrate. That’s like saying you want to increase tachycardia.

Sprints or endurance running will work fine, imo

Does he have any reason for wanting to lower his resting heart rate, or is it just for fun?

If he just wants to be in better shape for basketball, I’d probably suggest a bunch of short intervals with short rest periods, rather than jogging for a long time.

How would I go about increasing Tachycardia? I’m assuming 10 reps of sitting with a tempo of 60 minutes, 1 minute of walking to the fridge for a soda, and then repeating.
