Back in Feb of 2002 i pinched a nerve in my lower back. After going to a chiro and taking xrays they found that my right hip was higher than my left one so they gave me a lift for my left shoe. With treatment the pain has pretty much gone away and i never missed a squat or deadlift workout (even though i had to go lighter). However after seeing an ART specialist who is also a chiro for a few months to try to relive the aches i get in the back after deadlifting/squating, he took another set of xrays and my right hip is still higher. I think its causing my lower back not to work right. No matter what i do i can’t get my squat poundages up again (i was doing 315 for a solid 10 reps, and now struggle with 250 for 10), my deadlift is getting there, but the back usually aches, all other leg exercises are pretty much where they were pre injury. Its mostly my back that gives when i squat. I’ve tried everything from Romanian deadlift, good mornings, hyperext., nothing seems to work. Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be and how to fix it? Anyone else have this happen to them? I do have a pure ectomorph frame at 5’11 165 lbs.
