Low Testosterone Therapy

i found a calculator and my pre-therapy fT was about 5.5-6 ng/dl.
so that’s the reason i feel better.

@KSman how do you calculate HG from IGF-1 test?

guys i have new labs and need some explanation

T4: 11.04 (5.1-14.1)
T3: 158 (80-200)
TSH: 4.09 (0.27-4.7)
FT4: 1.39 (0.7-2)
FT3: 3.7 (2-4.4)
PRL: 15.7 (4-15.2)
LH: 8.8 (1.7-8.6)
TESTO: 739 (249-836)
CORTISOL: 31.7 (6.2-19.4 morning)
ACTH: 12.5 (7-64 morning)
ANTI-TPO: 15 (<34)
ANTI-TG: <10 (<115)

last 0.25mg anastrozole dose was on 19/05.
labs on 25/05.
high LH, high T, high TSH, high Cortisol, high PRL, low ACTH, low IGF-1
pituitary MRI showed a pituitary adenoma.

next appointment with endo is tomorrow

Your TSH is still really high. I assume you haven’t touched an iodine tablet yet?

If you have a pituitary adenoma cabergoline will probably be in your future and could be the only therapy you need.

Usually pituitary tumors cause high prolactin, yours (assuming PRL is prolactin) is just over the top of the range. Prolactin can supress your HPTA.

Liver reacts to GH by releasing IGF-1. How the two relate varies from one person to another. I inject hGH and have plotted IGF-1 vs different doses and I respond very well.

Prolactin is released cuddling puppies and babies, as well as during orgasm and can affect lab results.

Both are above mid-range. With low body temperatures, it is easy to conclude that rT3 is blocking fT3. rT3 is elevated from stress, illnesses, starvation diets etc. See the thyroid basics sticky for those terms as well as ‘wilson’s book’.

endo prescribed me 50μg T4.
after 3 doses i was feeling awful, zero energy, severe headaches. i stopped it, called her and i asked for rT3 and iodine tests. she said i could be right about rT3 and told me just cut the T4 dose in half until i test for rT3 and iodine/selenium.

she also put me in cabergoline to test if the pituitary adenoma is the cause of elevated prolactine.

given very low IGF-1, i’m gonna have a GH stimulation test to see possible GH deficiency.

since my TT went to 739 we will wait a month to see if this is temporary.

update

after about 20 days treatment with 50μg T4 and half a tablet of Dostinex per week

T3 137
TSH 1.45
FT4 1.37
FT3 3.2
RT3 22.2 (10-24 ng/dl)
FT3/RT3 ratio 14.41
IGF-1 204
TOTAL PROTEIN 6.9 (6.4-8.7 g/dl)
ALBUMIN 4.25
HDL 39
LDL 98
TRIGL 125

still cannot lose any fat from my belly.

its been a month without testosterone therapy and here are the results

TESTO 557
SHBG 37
PRL 3.3

it seems like the system restarted
