Low Testosterone Count

I second KSman.

I’m 59 and had a blood test about 3 months ago. I complained to my doctor, I was tired all the time. I had to force myself to go to the gym after work. If I trained 2 days in a row. I was totally physically spent the next day. He told to get this blood test, which would include testing my Testosterone level.

When I got my results in went from 1.6 two years ago to .3. When I saw him, he totally ignored the results. He knows I’m a lifter, i have the feeling this is the reason he won’t give me the shots. Any idea’s. I have no history to taking anything Illegal.
I’ve dealt with so many like this, I’m going to stop going, or I will be arrested for assault.

Think of your doc like you think of the place that changes your oil: go in, tell them you want exactly these blood tests. Go back in a week and demand a copy of your results. Then, completely ignore that NGF SOB and buy what you need on your own.

Of course, if insurance will pay, demand that he write you a script RIGHT THERE and NOW. If he refuses, walk out and pay yourself.

Can you tell I despise the medical profession?

Heavyweight,
I was on 200mg/wk of cyp. I am 55 and with that dose my tt was a little over 1700. I have since been tapering to 160. I feel pretty good at this level. I used Androgel for about a year and a half prior to that. Injecting since xmas 06. I self inject in glute 80mg 2x/wk.

As far as MDs go, I am telling them what I want and argue my case. There won’t be anymore, “your t level is 400, that’s ok” and I’ve had that, because like you, I lifted. They acted like I was in my 30s and not my 50s.

I don’t get arrogant, but I go in with the intention of getting what I want if it is within reason and that is with all specialists. Sorry but I have lost a lot of respect for MDs. They are more worried about their Mercedes payments, kickbacks from insurance co, etc. My endo/anti-aging sold gh VERY pricey and I think he would sell cocaine if he could.

I had bw done the other day and will post results for you.

Sorry for the rant
That wasn’t a rant. Hell, you were kind to the goddamned bastards.

Also, you are not arrogant. If you read T-Nation for one week, you’ll know more that those fucking pinheads.

Hey, ‘pinheads’ — I made a funny!

(For those who don’t know, pinning is slang for injecting.)

I said I would post my latest BW,

This is at age 55, 160mg t/cyp 80mg 2x/wk
Also on Adex, 2.5mg/wk (on advice from KSman so if I have problems he is to blame, I wonder if he has malpractice insurance)as E levels are high and not comming down.

tt 744 range 260-1000
ft% 2.0 1.0-2.7
ft 145 50-210
e 32 <52

I can’t seem to get my e under 30 no matter what I do. On Adex since 2/07 and it has been 32-37 on every BW.???

Hey Headhunter,

If you look anything like your avitar I doubt you have many problems getting them to comply. LOL.

And my MD/anit-aging guy had a heart attack and died last week. 45yrs old. I can’t fuckin believe it. Nice guy.

Low testosterone is linked to heart problems. He should have been injecting.

I’m getting my doc to script me for Cyp. I have some but want to buy on the script, for obvious reasons.

If I can’t buy more legally, I’m going to simply order it online. If I get in deep shit, I’m going to tell the judge that low test fucked up my judgment.

I’ll also tell him that if our medical system is so paranoid about steroids that I can’t get the meds I need, then fuck it, put me in prison. Spend $30,000/year to incarcerate someone who just wants some GD meds…

I feel the same way with gh. I can’t get an md to script me so wtf, I have to do what I have to do. Thank God my md put me on 400mg/wk t/cyp and I dropped to 200 then to 160, so I have about 5 bottles as I got the script refilled each month with the 400mg/wk script. So I am good for about a year give or take.

I have bone density problems from puting steroid creams on my skin, (psoriasis 95% clear now),for 20yrs. Every x-ray,MRI I get shows bone infarctions which is dead bone. So I feel I have a legit reason for gh if it is proven to enhance bone density.

I am going to look into it further but I’m having knee surgery next week and when I mentioned it to the surgeon he kinda blew me off. He didn’t want to go there. My family md said they do give it to people with osteoarthritis but I guess I have to wait until I’m crippled.

And as far as my md that died, he was on t and everything else. He had heart problems years ago and the pharmacy he was dealing with in NY was busted and he was under the gun from the feds. He has around 900 clients and had he lived, he would have had some explaining to do and they were about to ask.

Perhaps the stress played a part. I think half of his clients were cops and fireman. And they all weren’t hypogonadal I’m sure.

That’s too bad about the doctor…seems like an enlightened physician, of which there are too few.

If I was a cop or fireman, I’d load up. Imagine having to run into an inferno or pull some abusive 280 pound drunk out of a bar.

A guy I knew who was in the Marines said they juice the front line guys who want it. Just go into this ‘special tent’. I’d be on at least a gram a week if I was in one of those hellholes!

He was a little over the top, starting me on t/cyp 400mg/wk from androgel. lol. But on the other hand that beats 200mg every 2wks.

My nephew is a Port Authority cop in NJ/NY and he went to him. I am going to see where he winds up. Like I say, I am good for a year or so.

If what your friend said about the Marines, that would be great. They have come a long way since I was in in 1970. I think they were passing out joints or smack to deal with the horrors of Nam. Not really but I know a lot of guys that went that route over there.

That was one plane ride I’m glad I never had to take. And duty in Iraq has to be the worst. These kids are getting blown away just driving down the street.

I’m confused here. After being on 200mg/week of T-cyp for my HRT, (almost a year) I have never been higher than 1070 TT. I would like to know how some guys get to 1700 TT on 200mg/wk. I wish I had a doctor that started me at 400wk., damn I’d be hyooge by now… Are the guys that run those numbers on Test alone, or are some using HCG too? Just curious…

HCG does not make much difference. At 100mg/wk T cyp, adding 250iu HCG SQ EOD took me from 886 to 1025. I guess some could have testes that are very responsive to HCG, but that would be rare with those needing TRT.

Doctors who take TT to levels well over lab norms are opening themselves up to a number of actions from state and federal agencies and state medical boards. Most feel that their hands are tied and some that don’t feel that make headlines.

886 on 100mg/week? When I was at 100mg/week, my TT was in the 500’s, and my E was in the high 30’s. I’m just jealous I guess. I have started on a-dex to reduce my E numbers. I had gotten as high as 105, and the last E test was 44. I am hoping 1.5mg/week a-dex will get me in the 20’s, and raise my TT too.

If you have a prescription, cant you order online and not get in deep shit?

Test levels can and do decrease with age. Those of us whose physicians recommended “danger free” vasectomies are far more prone to andropause onset, even earlier in life.

I’ve personally been on bio-identical natural test for five years. Prior to that I was down to 175 ng/dl, now back to a respectible 700-800. The test cream runs about $40/month and can be compounded with an anti-aramatze for some extra money. Only threat to such treatment comes from Senatorial lackies for Big Pharm, Sens Kennedy and McCain whose proposed legislation would effectively shut down compounding pharmacies.

Do a websearch on andropause and viropause to learn more about that condition.

Good news is that it can be remedied. Ironically, male hrt will prevent competetion in drug-free contests, while women being treated for progesterone and estradiol deficiencies with hrt are not disciminated against.

Re-establishing test levels is vital for health, longevity, and libido.
