Low T, I Think It's Thyroid? Ksman (was on Clomid now t-cyp)

Came across this at Iodine - Consumer and thought of you:
"…certain groups of people are more likely than others to have trouble getting enough iodine:

People who get marginal amounts of iodine and who also eat foods containing goitrogens. Goitrogens are substances that interfere with the way the body uses iodine. They are present in some plant foods including soy, and cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and brussels sprouts. For most people in the United States who get adequate amounts of iodine, eating reasonable amounts of foods containing goitrogens is not a concern."

Thanks. A few months ago I took about 50-60mg iodide a day for about a week.
Maybe a couple days a month I’ll take the 12.5 mg tabs I have handy.

Though I think am fine. I use more iodine salt and my multi has 150 mcg

I forget, did you do temps for a bit to determine deficiency?

Yeah. Some days I got to 98.6 other 98.0. It appears that now that my hormones are pretty stable I get close to 98.6. And my last thyroid labs were back under 2 for TSH.

Btw. I finally lost a few pounds I got to 190. Thanks was just under 200 for months after starting trt. I feel my weight loss accelerated after increasing my test to 108mg a week. So I definitely don’t have water retention. Lol.

I also am eating less so who knows.

I stopped taking temps. I do continue taking my blood pressure and it has never been better. It’s like 115 over 75 many days. Now why? Well maybe it was the zinc I started taking? The extra test? The daily Cialis but I been taking that for only about 2-3 months and the pressure dropped nicely I would say within last few weeks.

Interesting. Congrats on the fat loss. Seems like you are really getting things dialed in. In the hunt for a proper thermometer I grabbed one that KSman mentioned in a post recently. Its digital but has some certs for its accuracy. Its used for pregnancy planning. I am low 97s in the am and might barley get to 98 in the afternoon. Researching lodoral iodine now.

I bought the manual old fashioned thermometer. It worked well it was close to the basal digit one but not close to the 10 sec digital one. I post link

Also I always had coldhands for many years. I think it was my t being low. It’s warmer in NY now so I am good  maybe that why I hate winters. But maybe now with my trt I will be fine all year around.

I bought a glass one as well but could not shake it down. Its apparently a common issue.

Haha. It was made in Germany. I saw on Amazon but local small pharmacy had in stock.

Mine broke cause my son walked by it fell and mercury or whatever is in the on floor. I didn’t replace since I know how off my digitals were after using the mercury one

This is the one I got and KSman had recommended: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MFGHHK2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got Generation Guard Basal Thermometer Amazon.com

This one was close to mercury?

I have trouble following threads that get this deep.

Irregular heart beat: My dad had that decades ago, doc prescribed drugs and Dad did research and did not take. He started on Vitamin K and only lived an independent life past 101 years. Vitamin K fixed the problem. Doc put him on a new monitor when the sales rep was there and doc became very confused seeing that the problem was resolved.

Dad was not taking any prescription drugs. He was prescribed something to help him sleep in his last week of life. In Canada, his meds were provided free of charge and the system did not have a record of any prior medications when we filled that script. He did take about 50 supplement pills per day.

This is what he used:
Life Extension, Super K with Advanced K2 Complex
Vitamin K1 (as phytonadione) 1500 mcg
Vitamin K2 (as menaquinone-4) 1000 mcg
Vitamin K2 (as all-trans menaquinone-7) 100 mcg

If it works, great, otherwise ~$20.00 to find out.

We typically expect TRT guys to get high normal TT and FT, you were not there.

Thanks for sharing I always wanted to know what a person living to 100 took in supplements and medication. Did he take any herbal medicines? Like tumeric etc

I was not there but I think upping to 108mg from 100 mg is helping.

He took just about everything that life extension recommends. He met some doctors socially that would later approach him and ask if he would tell them what he was doing. His parents has cataracts, he did not. He did the provincial driver’s exam when he was 100 and they had him use a vision machine that tested peripheral vision. He scored 100% and the examiner ask if he could look at the machine and he checked it out. Then asked Dad to repeat and 100% again.

I hope u inherit his health and longevity.

I have a regular scheduled appointment today. I have been having soft erections or not staying erect when needed. Also sensitivity loss. Similar symptoms when I took last lab and showed e2 in the 30s when I thought I was low e2.
I suspect it may be the e2. I wonder if there is a test for free estrogens cause I know the feeling of low e2 and labs show high.
Will need to recheck Shbg.
Everything else I feel very good but my ed symptom in my book is major. Unless I up my cialis. OR just found out I can get .1 mg arimidex for .50 cent each. By a compound pharmacy.
@physioLojik any comments on my info?

For reference - last labs from 5/4

@physioLojik
So are you saying e1 is hight and e2 is normal for this example? I dont undersand. Should e2 be less than 150 and if so, arimidex does not change e1?
Thanks.

Charlie are you describing me?

I feel great mentally and in gym but my erections and libido are just meh.

I upped my T dose over the last 3 weeks with no response sexual wise.

I know man. Dr just prescribed .1 mg ai.
I mean I wanted to wait and have body adjust but i guess I need an ai and need to be under 30 on e2.
I was taking 3mg cialis dr said I should be taking 5 if for ed.
Before I increase to 5 I will see if the ai does the trick on its own.
If .1 2x a week crashes my e2 then I will need to lower test and no ai OR take the5mg cialis since I feel good otherwise. What would you do @CrushCity1
Annoying stuff!

Edit. I believe I still have fluctuations. I have a couple days I flush. A couple or a few days of ed. I guess it’s the e2 going up and down. Since am sensitive to an ai am sure am sensitive to any e2 change.
