Low Carb Diets

I’m starting the T-Dawg diet, but for the next fortnight I won’t be able to get my carb intake as low as it recommends. I’m living with my parents and evening meals contain 50-80g of carbs. I could do something different, but the hassle/grief isn’t worth it.

Do these kind of diets require a metabolic reaction to ultra low levels of carbs, or will I still get decent results consuming ~150g carbs each day?
