I feel like pull throughs are more like an RDL.

I like RDLs. For me personally pull throughs don’t compare. Obviously, YMMV.

You’re not too old to race. Your car is just slower. It’s like the youngsters have the new Dodge Challenger with the Hell Cat engine and you have a nice durable Dodge Ram with a standard V8.

I’m probably the equivalent of a Ram with a Hemi or a Challenger with a standard V6.

I’m also not going to be training for strength for at least another 2 months. Right now I’m working my deadlifts ~315lbs so the odds that 10x3 315-335 moves me any closer to 500 than I already am are pretty minimal. Honestly, I was kind of joking when I asked if you wanted to race. You could go pull 500 pretty much whenever you feel like it it seems like! You’re just running a pre-victory victory lap right now lol

I’m hoping to pull 600 in 5-7 weeks. That’s only a 55 lb PR. It’s not like I have big expectations from this round of SGSS. Maybe I should try for 550 first…

Actually, I suddenly have a sense of urgency to pull 600. I don’t know why. I was happy with 500. 5 plates was my lifetime achievement goal. And then I go and pull 545 in June and suddenly I want 600.

I will have it.

I’m noticing a direct correlation between big OHPs and big benches in the logs lately.

Your bench has to be knocking on the door of 3 plates.

I got a rep of 275 with the Darkhorse but is was very sloppy and I lost tightness at the bottom. I’m hoping to get a clean 275 soon and progress from there

Based on your OHP I think it’s there. You just have to find a way to bring it out.

I put up 305 and only hit 165 on OHP in June.
