Given that form stays the same, can you lose muscle mass and still increase your strength? This comes down to me verifying the accuracy of my BF% scales which use electical impedence. Cheers guys.
Answer to the first question is yes, if you’re referring to limit strength (1RM). Part of your muscles’ mass is fuel, and if you decrease the amount of that fuel in them by not working in the hypertrophy range for a while, you can lose muscle size but still get a little bit stronger.
Electrical impedance is a terribly inaccurate way to measure body fat. Caliper is better. Not perfect, but better.
