Looking for New Leg Program

Hi. I’ve reached a rut in my programming where I just can’t be bothered writing my own leg training program.

I’ve always hated training legs but it’s still something I do. Because you have to right?

So i’m interested to see how other people do it. Maybe there’s a magic leg training program that I’ll really enjoy.

So post a leg workout for me. I’ll give it a go and tell you what I thought.

I have:

leg press.
squat rack.

That’s it. I also have a good spot for walking lunges. Fuck static lunges. Hate em.

Bulgarian split squats; 5 sets of 6 each leg. Heavy.

Single leg deadlifts, 3 sets of 12 each leg.

Walking lunges with dumbells; 3 sets of a total of 20 steps.

You can do pretty much everything with just those two things and the room for lunges.

Mix it up and have fun with it.

You could do something like:
Squat: work up to a 5 rep max
Leg Press: 10x10, top set of 20, dropsets etc
Barbell RDL
Walking Lunges: 2x100 steps

Use different techniques on the leg press and squat. Do squats first, second, last etc.

Just finished my current, boring leg program.

4 sets of bird dogs and supermans for the old core health.
1x10 leg press
4x jump squats.
4x10 stiff leg deadies.
1x20 back squat
1x44 w lunges

Legs feel smashed but i don’t really feel like I’m covering new ground on leg training. There’s nothing revolutionary about it.

I like your program ebird, it’s nice and balanced, but it’s pretty similar to stuff I already do. I like the range of reps you use, the single leg work, and the balance between anterior and posterior.

I might try ebomb’s program just because it’s completely opposite to how I train.

I’m gonna modify it though, I don’t like starting with squats, I feel I need to get into the training zone first. If I just jump under the bar I’m not set enough.

Leg Press: 10x10 (I will be completely fucked after this alone!)
Barbell RDL (makes more sense to hit the back end whilst I still have some energy left). 5x8-10
Squat: work up to a 5 rep max
Walking Lunges: 1x100 steps (once is enough dude. twice is just masochism).

Does the mod meet your approval ebomb?

Come to think of it, you could get a brilliant high volume workout just by super setting leg press and stiff legs. 10 sets of each, 20 sets in total, start with a moderate weight and by the end it will feel like a 3RM.

Not the healthiest session in the world but a month or two wouldn’t kill ya.

try loading squats heavier

Or Zumba if you’re feeling up to it

If the weights are going up and your legs are growing then why da fuck does it matter if what you’re doing is not considered revolutionary?

you sound like the type that enjoys “fitness” more than progress

And you sound like the type who needs to be hyooge due to crippling self esteem issues, but i’m not gonna bust your balls about it.

Yes I like being fit. That’s actually a good thing.
