Im just trying to string together still images to make crude animations and export them as video files. Could anyone suggest a freeware video editing application?

Im familiar with Adobe premiere so a basic clone of that would be ideal.
I used microsoft movie maker but it bloooows.

I’d be interested to hear what’s out there also, both in terms of the overall best video editing software (that costs money) and the best shareware.
Well, Premiere is all I’ve been using for a long tiem (at home I have a free version, lol - but at work we have the legit softare).
Honestly, as long as you’re not using it for profit (ie, personal use), then get a free version or a demo and use that.
As for video converting software, TMPGenc Express is very good.
