Shadowboxing - 3 x 3
Jump rope - 3 x 3
Padwork - 12 x 2
This was a motherfucker of a workout: 12 two-minute rounds of all kinds of padwork, with 5 pushups and 10 situps between each.
The rounds had the same basic format of (10) 1-2's, then (10) combos of some other type. One round it would be body shots, the next it would be bobbing and finishing with a 3-2, the next would 5-2/6-3, etc. etc.
It was exhausting but terrific work. And I didn't wind badly until about the 10th or 11th round, which made me exceptionally happy - means my roadwork and hill sprints have been paying off.
And all this shadowboxing is paying dividends too - my coach said I'm deceptively strong for my size in terms of punching power, and I think that's because of the technique work I do every morning.
