Tire drills - 10 x 2
Great night, especially the tire drills. These were headgear/mouthpiece drills where one guy, with his lead foot in the tire, works his jab, and the other guy tries to effectively counter. It's meant to help learn how to find the range of your opponent's jab, then work off it after you do.
I was probably the most experienced out of the small group I was working in, but being as I'm not that good myself, I did very well and was proud of that. I probably would have "won" every round in or out of that tire, and feel like I can finally measure distance effectively. And my jab is getting pretty sharp ... I've been putting a lot of effort into making it quick and non-telegraphed, and that's paying off a bit.
