Log for a Lazy Fat Ass

I had been keeping a log on and off in the O35 section, but my lack of consistency convinced me to move it to here instead. I have been taking some time off, but now I am back in the swing of things following a modified Bulgarian Asshat routine that I am thinking about marketing to morons with issues of self hate, man boobs and reverse narcissism.

The stats that matter:
Age- 46
Ht. 6’
Wt. 336
Squat- 575 (belt and wraps)
Bench- 445 (Wrist Wraps + Pause)
DeadLift- 580 (belt + Weeping)
OHP- 255

So after a bit of time off I started training again.

Bench- Bar x10, 135x8, 225x5, 275x3, 355x2, 385x2, 405x1, 365x4

Squat- 135x5, 225x3, 315x2, 405x2, 425x2

Deads- 495x1, 515x1

Did not want to push it too much today since I will be doing these same exercises (plus one or two more) tomorrow.


Sore but still remarkably fat. My attempt to limit carbs lasted until 8:00 am, so I feel as if progress has been made, roughly 2.5 waking hours before I ate some frosty deliciousness, I would be afraid of Diabetes if I wasn’t so sure that high cholesterol will kill me first. At my current size I am high risk for everything except turning 47. Enough pity, now we lift…

Bench (always first because I hate it less than leg stuff)- Barx10, 135x8, 225x5, 275x3, 355x2, 385x2, 420x1, 390x3

Squat (The exercise I will play with today, volume is the magic word)- 135x5, 225x3, 315x3, 345x3, 375x3, 405x3, 435x3, 465x2, 495x2, 525x2 (10 sets but only 29 reps, I screwed that up somehow)

Deads- 495x1x1, 525x1, 545x1, 405x9

OHP- Barx10, 95x8, 135x5, 185x3, 205x3, 225x3 (push press TBH, lots of leg)

BBell Rows- 135x8, 185x8, 225x10

Done. My legs will be sore tomorrow, but since I hate doing high rep sets I figure lots of low rep sets will have to do.

Took the weekend off came to the gym and tried to “kill it” nearly killed myself instead, a lesson will eventually be learned,
