Hey guys was just wondering if you could help me out with something. I was looking at loading in the first week with Creatine (I may not load but I thought i’d look into every option) and a few sources recommened anywhere up to 25g of Creatine. Now I have capsules and they’re around 700mg each, does this mean i’d have to take over 30 capsules a day for a week?
Sorry if this sounds a little idiotic but i’m in a hurry and only have access to the internet briefly.
each pills is 700mg… which is 0.7g. thus… if you take two, its 1.4g of creatine. usually caps dont have you load thats why they are such a low level of creatine i personaly think.
but any creatine more than your body makes is good for ya…
dont worry about the amount, just follow the directions. unless ur taking over 10g of creatine, you shouldnt be worrying about anything…
10g of creatine over a period of time with non-stop use = could lead to issues
It’s up in the air with the whole loading premise. I don’t load and a lot of the people will say the same some will say different. Just take 5g before workouts with a carbohydrate drink.
Since Leucine causes a single phase insulin release (as opposed to biphasic) I wonder if taking creatine and leucine toegther would deliver a double whammy? (esp on a low card diet)

How much leucine are you talking about taking with creatine?
My guess is that you’d need significantly more than the 5 grams commonly recommended.

Why’re you using caps? Those are generally much more expensive.[/quote]
I don’t know about the OP, but I started with caps because I really didn’t care for the taste of creatine. Now I use Biotest creatine mixed in my protein shake and I hardly even notice the creatine.

Since when did creatine have a taste to it. I mix 5g with a bottle of water and never noticed a taste.

I mix it with whey protein and can’t tell the difference.

The first protein I tried…oh maybe 8 years ago…had a bad taste…I don’t remember the brand from that far back. The capsules I have make me gag as well. As I said, the Biotest stuff is hardly noticeable…I don’t know if they have a taste, but I do notice its texture.
