I might be moving to Boston soon (the suburbs, not the city itself) and was wondering what the area is like? People seem to either love Boston or hate it with a passion. Any great gyms in the area as well?
Boston sucks the women are cold and have watched too many romantic movies where the not so good looking woman, who is beautiful on the inside, winds up with Brad Pitt, so they all have an air of I’m better than you’s. It’s hard to make friends everyone seems to have a chip on their shoulder’s. Race relations are bad, there are troublemakers on all sides pointing fingers back and forth.
On a side note are you going to be on the South Shore or the North Shore?
Gold’s in Stoughton is 24/7 and is pretty hardcore
World’s in Dedham isn’t horrible
Gold’s in Everett is decent
Powerhouse in Woburn is 24/7 and not bad.
Screw you! You suck, Brad love me!
We can be reserved and will often keep to ourselves a bit. What area are you moving to? We get all the seasons, which I like, especially Autumn. The city can be a lot of fun and has a lot of cultural stuff (don’t I sound cultured?!), great restaurants, museums, etc. My clubbing days are over, but there are a bunch.
Cape Cod is really nice, getting down there for a day trip or the weekend is a lot of fun.
It will be what you make of it. Good luck!

Don’t worry Jillybop, I am in Texas and will therefore pick up the "R"s you missed when I do my warshing in the warshing machine.

don’t worry Tex, we get plenty of "R"s in or words, just not where you’d expect 'em. For instance, did you know there’s a hidden one at the end of the words idea and pizza? true story, they’re actually pronounced idear and pizzer.
(I’ve lived in New England almost my entire life and have always been fascinated by the fact that some people actually do drop R’s from some words and add them to others for no apparent reason)
Only been there once, but thought it was the best town I’d ever seen. Of course, I’m a Sox fan, so I’m biased…but it’s almost as cool as New York.
I took theatre I don’t have an accent
Boston is not a city. It’s a neighborhood. A big, sprawling neighborhood, with lots of colleges, and a very nice neighborhood, but a neighborhood nonetheless.
Nothing wrong with that, though.
