I second what many people are saying. I took it as a teenager. It permanently cleared up my acne, but my acne actually got far worse on the medicine before it got better. In addition to the normal bloody noses and chapped lips you hear about, all of my acne scabbed up and left slight scarring that I still have today (10 years later) whereas previously I was not scarring from any of my acne.
I really do not recommend Accutane to someone unless they have severe cystic acne. It’s really rough to have acne, trust me I know, but Accutane is no joke - it’s pretty harsh shit. I would try everything else under the sun first.
