Light Weight/Low Intensity During Recovery?

I read somewhere, may be BS, that doing low intensity light weight lifting speeds recovery. Is this true?

Well, my reason is that I like to lift, even when I’m sore, for the reason that I want to be able to get endorphins when I just don’t feel good enough. It makes me feel good. I have mental problems and a lift is a lift in more than one way. That’s why I do it but I still don’t want to sacrifice my goal to be able to throw cars and crumble buildings. Hehehe, yeah…

When they said that they meant making blood flow to your muscles is benificial to recovery. Low intensity is basically the only way you can do this without making it another kind of workout. This is another reason people do cardio on their off days (not just to get fit or burn calories).

Thats also why people have massages, or light electro-therapy.

I don’t want a massage. I’m an endorphin addict.

You could just become an emo kid and cut yourself. The cutting releases endorphins.
