Once during a WOD I drank two beers I was a bit drunk and it didn’t really help me (it was 10 kilometers row with 200 m crouching walk or whatever each km)
I would have to be drunk to even consider anything called a WOD. Not sure if that counts as performance enhancement though.
Great for high rep pump work though IMO
Back when I was big into bodybuilding and structured my training as such, smoking was amazing before. The mind muscle connection gets insane and the pump was ridiculous.

I smoke before I lift most days. Makes me happy & helps me focus. Post workout is edible time
I used to take a few hits during deadlifting.
I’d get freaked out when it came to benching or squatting though. Just felt like something wasn’t right.
I’ve deadlifted after a few beers though. Didn’t feel any different, but I had a massive headache on the way home from the gym. Don’t know if that’s useful per say.
