Lifting Shit to Get Fit

I'm currently lifting shit to get fit...this thread will chronicle my efforts for ya'll.

The first phase is merely conditioning for the phase to follow. This happened
Today:

Ass to Grass Squats
8 reps of 135
8 reps of 185

Jump Squats
3 sets of 8 reps with 95 pound barbell.

Stretching...lots of stretching.
Sauna for 10 minutes.

20 minutes of interval training.

About 2 hours of NEPA walks interspersed throughout today.

Today was a wild day.

First off, I have taken up Pro Wrestling as a sort of hobby/sport. Fortunately, I was trained years ago when I was in high school. As such, last week I jumped right back in the fray; I had one training session, and then had my first match on last Friday. As such, I am busting my ass to get in the proper condition.

This was followed by about 20 minutes of Stretching, Wrestling Bridges, neck crunches, and headstands.

Then 20 minutes of interval walk/running (1/8th of a mile run with 1/16 of mile walk)

Then 10 minutes of sauna.

So I thought I was done working out, but then a fellow wrestler called me and asked me to come train in a town about an hour away with Manny Fernandez. I threw on my clothes (I was in the locker room), walked home, and got in the car and drove.

We trained in a shed with no air conditioning (so it was about 100+ degrees), and Manny worked with us for an hour or so in that scorching shed.

Today I had a 2 hour session with Manny “The Raging Bull” Fernandez in the sauna like shed. Wrestling, wrestling, wrestling.

Today training was canceled; so I stretched extensively and did some interval and steady state cardio.
