Lifting blocks

I am wondering if anyone knows how to construct a set of lifting blocks otherwise known as “technique stands”? For those of you who are not familiar with these they are used for exercises such as partial deadlifts, hang cleans from the knees, etc. At the gym I previously worked out I noticed a group of power lifter who contructed their own from 2X6 planks. I now work out at home (I recently purchased a power rack and weights) and I would like to perform partial deadlifts.
