Lifting Basics

I am coming up with an abbreviated routine for strength. Here are the basic lifts I've chosen:

Weighted Dip
Weighted Chin-up
Overhead Press
Front Squat
Romanian Deadlift

Thoughts? Is it well-balanced?

You’ve made this topic so many times dude. Just go lift weights. I promise you will get stronger.

Just do SOMETHING.

By the way, you could do even less - squat, dip and chin, for instance. AnytimeJake has his in-season hockey players do this, twice a week:

day 1 -
weighted dips, 5x5
weighted chins, 5x5
squat - 1x20

day 2 -
squat - 5x5
dips, bodyweight - 3x max reps
chins, bodyweight - 3x max reps

That isn’t a routine just a list of exercises, the crucial part of strength training…a secret I am willing to divulge to you right now for free is that you must actually go and just fucking do it and stop thinking about the prime integers between a back squat and a front squat.
