Lifting and Leaning Out

Another strength endurance day. Was definitely struggling with it from a conditioning standpoint. Took longer rest periods between exercises and rounds than intended. Also had to take some mini breaks during exercises. But I got all the reps in.

3 x 40 for the following

Goblet Squat 35 lbs
DB BOR 30 per
2 Hand KB Swings 30 lbs
Landmine Press Bar + 25
DB RDL 30 per

Nice work! It’s coincidental that three of us are within 1-2 days of each other on this program. I have 3x40 coming up tomorrow.

Appreciate it! During the Goblet Squats, in particular, I was getting winded the last couple of rounds. Getting my cardiovascular system up to the task is definitely a process.

Walked just over one hour with a 30 lb pack. Several hills on my route. Not paying too much attention to distance or speed yet, but it was somewhere in the 2.8-3.0 mile range.

Mix of walking and jogging for 43 minutes. I’m basically running everything except for the big hills on my routes. The hills shoot my heartrate up higher than intended for the endurance days a d wear me out a little too quickly.

Another SE day, this time 2 x 40 for each of the following.

Goblet Squats 35 lbs
DB BOR 30 per
Two Handed KB Swings 30 lbs
Landmine Press Bar +25
DB RDL 30 per

Kind of wish I’d went a little heavier on the KB Swings, left off the RDL and added some type of core movement like hanging knee raises or something. But I’m this far in. I’ll ride it out the next couple of weeks.

Endurance Day

Did about 55 minutes inside due to inclement weather. First 15 on a spinner bike and 40 on treadmill.

That’s three weeks down of the Base Building phase. Five more to go and only two until I start barbell lifting again.

Fell a little short on planned time today.

7 minutes Assault Bike and 40 minutes walking on treadmill.

Completed all with no mini breaks during the exercises. Took 90-120 seconds between exercises.

Endurance Day

Assault Bike 15 Minutes
Stairmaster 5 minutes
Treadmill (walking) 40 minutes

Didn’t care much for the stairmaster. The stairs are a little small for me.

Finished 4th week of Base Building from TB Ii. Next week is going to be pretty tough.
