I was wondering what some good supplements would be to take after football practice when going right to lifting. Something to help recover from the practice but to give an individual energy to lift.
protein, caffeine, carbs, ect.?
I would take a scoop of Surge after practice and then another scoop or two after lifting. Don't take caffeine because it's a waste of your money.
A couple pieces of fruit and whey shake before and after. Always worked for me. You may want something more glycemic with a higher dose of carbs especially if your naturally thin.
my vote goes to Surge Recovery. if you got the cash, a FINiBAR before practice and another during lifting would help too. if training for an extended period of time like that seems to wear you out mentally, i would consider looking into Power Drive.
