I totally felt bad for him, but that loss to his (surprisingly 2nd place dude) main rival is just something that happens at that level no matter how good you are (think the unbeatable Russian dude and the USA guy who I think wound up on Biggest Loser…WTF!?).

But losing by technical superiority (I think that’s the term) to the next guy in repecharge. Come on man, that’s inexcusable.

Btw, I admit I had preconceptions about female wrestling which were totally destroyed by watching the Olympics -the women are frickin’ unbelievable wrestlers! Helen Maroulis is an awesome wrestler!

these guys have been game planning for him for a while now.
they know how to rough him up and they know his speed
Both matches got very physical lots of pushing shoving etc.

the take down in the first match that clinched the score-
could be judged differently - that was what many people thought would be the final match- not the quarter final.

He did loose by tech- by a massive ten points.
I think he got out classed and clearly outworked.I have to agree that its just a poor performance…
Im sure he was kind of fucked in the head from the earlier matches
