Starting this log as I open a new chapter. Just got the job I’ve been working on getting for the past 3 years, finally have a chance to earn more than just a “living”, and finally recovering from the burnout brought on by injuries and 6 months of extensive defatting. I tore my meniscus in October and have had some serious struggles just maintaining my bodyweight the past few months. Hopefully, all of that is behind me for the most part now and shit can get real again.
I’m using Chad Smith’s Juggernaut Method and IF’ing. The training system is new to me, the nutritional system isn’t. Leangains is awesome and I probably won’t ever go back. Working on slowly getting big, fast, and strong again and eating rice like a Saiyan warrior.
Anyways, onto training:
Upper body warm up- band external rotations x12 x2, band pull-apart x12 x2, kettlebell traction to get loose
a. Chest Pass- 16# x8 x2
Nice and fast, lots of snap
Fuck, that’s a lot of reps. Stopped mostly because I got kind of bored. Probably could have ground out a few more. Looks like training max is moving up for bench heading into the next wave.
c. Dumbbell Incline- 80x10 x3 deep stretch, slight pause at the bottom. SUCKED.
d. TRX Fly- bw+flack jacket x15 x2 fffuuuuuu
e. Trap Machine Row- 180x10 x4
These are new and they’re amasin. Basically sit “into” the shrug machine with torso just below a 45 degree angle and row up with the low handles with a good hard flex. Not about the weight on this one.
f. Pull up- bw x12 x2
g. Preacher Curl- 45x12 x4 Nothing heavy, just getting some blood in there. Did them sloooow.
