I’m just starting to lift, and decided to use the beginner blast off program, and my main question is how long is each individual workout supposed to last. For the first week, I’ve been doing 2 sets of 10-12 reps, 60 secs rest, 4 second reps, and it usually takes about 15-17 minutes for each workout. Is the workout supposed to last longer than this, and if so what do I need to do?
Well, bump up to three sets. If that’s easy, then maybe it’s time to adopt another T-mag program. See FAQ for a couple of dozen options.
How many different exercises are you doing? Based on the numbers you threw out, it couldn’t be more than 4. If that is the case, you need more. You’re total body beginner’s workout should probably have a total of 12 to 15 sets. With 2 sets per exercise, you should probably be doing 7 or 8 different exercises. That type of workout should take about 40 to 50 minutes to complete. Good luck!
