I’ve been running quite a bit lately to get in shape for football. I was wondering if anybody has a good Leg workout that is not too taxing, to prevent overtraining. Or am i searching for the fountain of youth in a non taxing effective training method?
Check out any of the articles by Coach Davies. Most of his programs are pretty high volume, but these can be adjusted for your current training load. You should be getting ready to peak anyway for football season so start to decrease volume.
I’d say to train legs normally, only not go to failure. Don’t use slow negatives either (to reduce soreness.)
