I use a leg press for calf raises. Does foot position (both by rotation and lateral movement) affect what area of the calf gets worked?
If you do them pidgeon-toed (toes pointed in) you will feel it more in the outer part of the calves. If you flare your toes wide with your heels in you will feel it more on the inner part of the calves. Keeping your feet parallel to each other hits both about equal.
