Leg Press Bands

Hey guys, i workout at a very ghetto but great gym that i love. The plates we have are few, but it hasnt been a problem till we got in a new hack squat/leg press plateloading machine. We just don’t have enough plates for the big lifters and everbody’s lookin at me to buy em since i buy everthing for the damn place. Well i wanted to know if anyone has used those big stretching bands, normally used to attach to exercises like squats and deadlifts, for Leg Presses? the idea interested me and thought it would be a good chance for variety and an easier solution then waiting turns for plates. What do you all think?

I’m sure it would work, but the thought brings a tear to my eye…
