Hello to all: Im 54 and have trained since I was a teenager,but also have at 30yr's a L5-S1 low back operation (Discotomy) also a 2nd operation at 33yr's some area. Finally at 48 as a result of osteoarthritis I required a Left hip replacement,actually it was called a Hip Refurfacing.A new ball joint.Less invasive,as hip's are they say good for 15yr's and then require further sergury. I would be interested in a safe-way to build my quad's and hamstring's,but not prematurely wear-out my hip. Any suggestion's and or training information would be highly appreciated.your's truly john kelly
Did you ask your surgeon if there were any restrictions with a hip resurfacing? I would start there.
