Left Leg Does More in Squat

Hey, I had ACL and meniscus surgery on my right knee a while ago, and have recently started squatting. My left leg really takes over, and it’s always more sore than my right leg. Any advice on what to do?

Jamie Lewis wrote something that may help:

hey man, this probably isn’t what you want to hear but if it’s very noticeable you’ll have to dicth squats for 618 weeks and work on some single leg stuff until you bring your right leg up to match your left.

Rear elevated split squats are good, lunges are good, there’s a million articles on here about that kind of stuff.

Yeah it sucks, but it’s only 6-8 weeks and you’ll be back at it.

Thanks guys. I think I’ll do both - I’ll shove my ass to the side but the keep the weight light, probably a plate on each side. Also, I’ll work on my single leg stuff. Thanks again

I really doubt he will have to take 12 years off of squatting.
