Left Lat Not Activating

Hello,

I have noticed when chinning, that my left lat doesn’t want to do any work!

Any tips to get this sorted out?

Cheers

A simple trick to making one side of the body work more than the other when doing compound movements is to take the side that is less active (and weaker) and move the hand closer to center on the chinning bar.

Meaning…if that your arms are generally shoulder width apart, then move the left one to the midline by an inch or two. This places greater stress on that side and you will work out the imbalances.

This trick works for all movements - barbell curls, bench press, bent over barbell rows, etc, etc, etc.

You can also try to pull your head to the weaker side coming up in the lift.

try one handed and one sided deadlifts.

one arm neg, chins.
