Learning Knee Wraps?

Recently picked up some of the new 2m Titan THP knee wraps - my first set of wraps.
I tried them out on 3 separate occasions.
Every time they haven’t made lifting the weights any easier.
In fact, I would go as far as saying that I felt weaker. Painful and awkward.

Is that common?
Do you actually need to learn to properly use knee wraps (wasn’t expecting that)?
Or could it just be that I completely fucked up the wrapping each time (nobody experienced helped me)?


I would say that painful and awkward is common. They can throw you around and out of your groove, so yes, there is a learning curve. I don’t know if you’ve seen this, but it is a pretty good tutorial on wrapping (I personally use the sub-x)…

To get used to the wraps, sometime at home just put them on as absolutely as hellaciously tight as you can. Then stand up and walk around for about 60 seconds. Then take them off and repeat a few times. You will get used to the feeling of them pretty quickly. That being said, I don’t think it’s uncommon to have a learning curve with them.
