Since you prescribe dead-stop lifts for the layer system, I was wondering how you feel about sticking to Trap Bar DL & Conventional DL, and omitting Squats entirely. I have always felt like I don’t get enough lower body work out of these lifts alone, but feel can be deceiving. My plan was to use a 5-day layer template that includes:
Bench Press (from pins)
Trap Bar DL (floor)
High-Pull (from blocks)
Overhead Press (from pins)
Conventional DL (from floor)
