my sat was spent watching movies and drinking… nothing special… some girl on campus is trying to play mindgames with me and I’m not having it. So mentaly I’m a bit out of it also

today has to be the hotest most humid day’s on the face of the earth, walking to campus from my place was a mental task in itself, plus the night of boozing didn’t help

last night
We had our first practice, I decided to run Short stick D middie this fall, get filthy at it and go balls to the wall with it.

At practice I dominated at the fast break/ slowbreak drill, also known as Duke’s jumper drill. I had a yard sailed some kid on a slide then went for the fast break, this was followed up with my laying someone out when they went for a cross crease feed. After that we did 1on1’s I did well for my first 3 iso’s then got a little to cocky and played sort of stuiped. Alls well though. We finished with 6 goal to goal sprints (about 70 yards)

overall I felt good coming out, I know I need to still work on a ton, but I am looking at the 1-2 slot for SSDM

we did more running as a team
ran 1 1/2 around the campus then stretched and did some mobility stuff, then ran 12 70yard sprints with a 12-15 sec rest between each one

I then did some work on my drop step, and my change of direction when guardinga guy.

I’m a little sore on my calvs and inner thighs but nothing to big, or too sever

On some interesting news, our fallball team is absolutly filthy, our coach schedualed games vs Cortland (Div3 powerhouse) and Siena(Div 1 team) and a couple other decent 4 year teams. I’m Pumped for this fall.

9/19 I took it easy, I jumped some rope and played some wallball but that’s it.

I’m pissed, the gym was closed today even though it said It was open. So I have to re do this week of my 5x5 since I didn’t get to do the 3rd day. oh well… going home to eat and rest some more

we had a pick up game today. 6v6 half field

I ran D middie the whole time, I did extremely well and I’m really pumped about it. I seemed to be the only middie who understood where the slides were coming from when they were in a random formation. I shut off a lot of guys, got beat a few times also.

when I get beat I seriously get beat, I think this has to do with my back peddle and stopping before he splits. That or I am dropping my hips to soon and he splits me the other way. Either way I know it’s 1 of a few things that I can seriously fix. My speed is up in the air.

I played wallball, then shot around for a bit before my class.

I stretched out then warmed up and did
9x suicides with a 9min rest

the suicides went
5 yards then back,10yards then back,15yards then back then finished with a 40yard sprint. I really liked these and my stopping was getting better and better as I went on.

Side note: first day on our new turf field… it’s pretty sweet

I have some more classes today and practice. I’m going to do some wallball and some additional footwork after practice is done. Speed ladder and some shuffling stuff.

am: Velocity shooting set
I needed to take longer breaks between my shooting sets. I sort of rushed it and was to tired for the final time and room set. I wasn’t happy about it, but everything up to that went very well.

Pm: ran 5 x 10yard shuttle, 10x16yard shuttle (8 each side)
5x L drill, then did some D work with my friend, working on my drop step.

I have chalk for the first time and I am super pumped with the resaults from it on my deadlift

I pumped out the final set with no problem, no struggle, no resting and no re gripping. My hands were slipping a bit on the 280 so I calked up for the 335. Either way It was a good call buying some

On the powerclean I had to stop after 3 and rest for 5 sec the clean it, rest for 5 then clean. I’m still happy with it but I wished I didn’t have to take those rests.
