Lats in Shoulder Press Movements?

so I’m wondering, should lats be tight in shoulder press movements, like in bench press?

I recently realized that my lats were loose when benching, and thus the work was being transferred onto my triceps primarily, and now my triceps are much bigger than everywhere else, which I hate.

Really fucking tight.

Think about bending the bar by turning your elbows in and consciously pulling the bar towards you on the negative.

It’s hard to describe but you’ll feel it when you get it right.

what about in dumbbell shoulder press? lats tight too?

Yes, but in a slightly different way. Just make sure your body is rigid.
