Lacking Legs

I have a big upper body overall but my legs lack. I do legs 3x a week and haven’t seen growth in over a year. I want to add a few inches to my calves and quads by summer. What should I do???

A few inches? Good luck with that.

List what you’re doing now. Have your lifts improved in the past few months?

Front squat 3x/week or just follow any of the CT’s high frequency program

try skipping jump rope or doing a lot of jumping. Step ups work the calves nicely. Plus even needs to snatch pull/clean pull. Do a power clean without the catch.
I notice calves can lose muscle very quickly , if you don’t keep working out.

How much weight have you gained overall?

Would you mind posting a pic?

double the reps you’re doing on all your leg exercises.

Seriously, do mega high reps on squats, front squats, lunges, leg press, etc.

What exactly are you doing for legs? Sets, reps, weight.
How have you progressed over the last 6 - 12 months?
How much do you eat?

Without a little more info, it’s hard to give any useful advice.

And no way you’re going to add a few inches to anything by summer.

x2

“I do legs three times a week” is not enough information to give meaningful advice.

Well brah…

Monday is 20 min on the elliptical after my chest/arms workout.

Wednesday is 5 sets each of extensions and ham curls after my chest/arms workout.

Friday is some pick-up basketball with the bros, brah.

I lol’d.

OP may not fit this, but I do laugh at the guys whose “split” is:

Biceps Day: 35 sets of every curl variation imaginable
Chest Day: 5 sets of bunch, 25 sets of dumbbell bench, plus extra triceps work
Back Day: 5 sets of pullups, 20 sets of lat pulldowns, plus extra biceps work
Shoulder Day: 5 sets of overhead press plus 25 sets of assorted raises

and…

Leg Day: 3x5 squats, 3x10 leg curls, 3x10 leg extension

my favorite leg exercise is sumo squat.
i do it like this. i stand on two chairs to increase the range of motion and hold one heavy dumbbell vertically between my legs.
i go as deep as i can and never lock out at the top of the movement. i do it like a piston.
generally i do 3-4 work sets of 15-20 reps and do a dropset at the end.
this exercise works the quads, inner thighs and glutes very hard.
give it a try.
