Lab Results and Doctor Visit, Need Help

Post your prolactin number and range. “In range” doesn’t give us much to go on.

You are secondary hypogonadism. There’s often no “reason” for it.

Consider suppplementing iodine and going on a SERM.

Prolactin 4.8 ng/mL 2.1 - 17.1 ng/mL
Reference Ranges:
Male: 2.1 - 17.1 ng/ml
Female: Pregnant 9.7 - 208.5 ng/mL
Non Pregnant 2.8 - 29.2 ng/mL
Post Menopausal 1.8 - 20.3 ng/mL

The mri is scheduled for next week and it’s going to cost about $700 bones. Do you guys think it’s warranted?

Mri done no adenoma yay. Doctor wants to start trt every 14 days with injections… Told him about the protocol on this forum we will see how that goes.

Don’t know why they want to inject (worse, every 2 weeks, wtf?) when you are clearly secondary hypogonadism. You should be on a SERM and maybe an AI.

If for some reason you do decide to inject, consider getting HCG to preserve your testicles.

New doctor may be in order.

Can you point me to the serm info and the ai stuff? I need to come up with a good argument and plan when I go see him next week and I’m trying to study up and learn what to say.

Also should I be pushing for more labs before trt? Based on what KS said serms are good but not a long term solution. I sent my doctor Ksman’s exact trt protocol suggestion and told him that’s what I want to do if possible. Or should I got hcg and ai only?
