Firstly, get my freaking elbow healed up from this tendonitis or whatever it is so I can do what I want to in the gym

I still need to bench 225 and squat 405

Pull 550 in September
Squat 450, Bench 275, and Pull over 550 in November
Hit 190 BW by Sept. and 200 by Nov.

Try to find a new level of intensity every time I walk into the gym, kinda like this…

Really excited to jump back in for this next cycle. Volume has been really low over the last 3 or so weeks from my elbow and the meet. Had zero problems with it today so as much as I hated resting it, it was definitely worth it to be able to train with no pain.

Got my accessory back and shoulder work in today, gonna try to up my back work exponentially lol. Speed day tomorrow!

Sooo I’m thinking I wanna break the 4 plate squat barrier in the next couple weeks, which would be 415 with our squat bar. But then again I kinda wanna put the suit on again and maybe do some rev band reps at 500. I’m really enjoying squatting now that I moved my stance out. I feel a lot more stable and just stronger throughout the lift, we’ll see if I actually am stronger though lol.

As far as bench goes, I absolutely hate how weak I am at it. Goddamnit I wish I was a good bencher. Oh well, such is life, and I wouldnt trade in my long arms just for a better bench. But I’m pretty much always disappointed at the end of my bench days, I think I’ll just try to hammer my frustrations out with heavy back work after benching.

I had some thoughts today about athletes and their mentalities and what it takes to be successful at something but I think I’ll marinate on it for a little while and maybe ramble on some more at a later date…
