As I sit here with ice on my knees wrapped up with ace bandages, I wanted to take a moment to share just a bit of wisdom I have picked up. Take care of your knees when you are young and they will take care of you when you are old(er).(to steal from Dave Tate just a little. Sorry Dave)
That’s deep ain’t it?
Seriously, when I was a kid and up through early teens, I fought Osgood-Schlatter’s Disease/Symptom constantly. But I never thought anything about it being told constantly by everyone that I would grow out of it. Which I eventually did but my knees have never been great.
So if you are one of those young whipper-snappers around here, take from an old(er) fart of 37 and take care of your knees.
If you need some help with that, here is an excellent article from Mike Robertson on this very subject.
