Where is the swelling specifically? (Patella tendon, inside, outside, etc.) How bad is the pain on a scale of 1-10?
General advice before that info:
1) Try voodoo flossing, compression, and elevation. As well as moving it as much as you can without causing pain.
2) Don't think that you HAVE to test your squat 1RM, just because it's in a program doesn't mean you have to do it. Especially with smolov which so many people get overuse injuries from (what i'd guess you're dealing with now)
3) If you think you need to see a doctor, you probably do.
