Knee Cave In During Squatting

Hahah no need to say my bad - I was just surprised, but obviously Chris, who’s actually a powerlifter, felt the same way as you.

I was thinking about it, I have heard of people with a torn ACL still being able to squat, the quads are able to stabilize the knee or something like that. But I suppose it possible to tear your ACL doing anything if you move the wrong way.

Not sure if anyone has addressed this (long thread TL;DR) but when I ruptured a disc in my lumbar, it pinched a nerve that basically shut off musclular function to my right calf, hamstring, and glute, causing them to atrophy like crazy. After I rehabed and got back to squatting, before I got that side back up to 100%, I had some significant knee cave on that side. It’s fixed now, but wondering if hamstring/quad imbalance can be a cause of knee cave.

It would make sense to me. I have had knee cave on heavy squats at times, and hamstrings are without a question my weak link and alsways have been.
